David ArmstrongMr. Armstrong serves as administrator of Lutheran Homes Society, a developing continuing care retirement community which offers a full range of lifestyle choices—from complete independence to full assistance. With town homes, independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, dementia care, and skilled nursing care, Lutheran Homes Society provides the right level of care to meet the needs of the Muscatine, Iowa, community. Mr. Armstrong is responsible for the daily operations of this multi-faceted care community and ensures federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations are strictly adhered to and that the highest degree of quality care is provided to residents.
Mr. Armstrong’s areas of expertise include the following:

  • Improving failing operational margins
  • Experience in multiple licensed services to include skilled care, assisted living, senior housing, and HUD housing
  • Establishing assisted living programs for community seniors
  • Multi-million dollar programming, construction planning, and oversight
Previously, Mr. Armstrong served as administrator/chief executive officer and as a director of senior services at three different managed health centers in Minnesota as well as administrator at a retirement center in Nebraska. Mr. Armstrong’s responsibilities in these positions included overall management and operation of, on average, 100-bed facilities as well as various level-of-care housing units. Not only was Mr. Armstrong responsible for the financial operations of the centers but also for establishing and implementing specific programs and initiatives.
